Learning through the means of online tools has become a necessity living in the midst of COVID-19. The question is how can we create the same interactive, collaborative environment online, that naturally occurs when we teach our students in-person?
The goal of this session is to answer that question. We will be sharing strategies and tools to help increase student engagement and interaction. As instructors and learners, we are all adapting to an online learning platform. Through ACENET’s experience so far in teaching online, we are eager to share what we have found to be successful and things that should be avoided. We also hope to facilitate a discussion and collaboration on providing our students with the best possible online learning environment. We will be using the Zoom platform, and although we will be discussing some specific tools within Zoom that can be utilized to enhance the online learning experience, much of what we will discuss can be applied to other online learning platforms.
