ACENET’s mission is to accelerate discovery and innovation in Atlantic Canada by providing advanced computing resources, expertise and training to researchers and industry.

We have grown on the principle that the client’s needs are first and foremost, and we pursue excellence in all endeavours.

ACENET is a virtual organization, with its 17 staff located at institutions across Atlantic Canada. This operational structure demands an environment of trust, integrity and respect for our clients and for one another. Our team is comprised of individuals with unique and complementary skill sets. As a small organization, we are both flexible and innovative, often solving difficult challenges by working together to arrive at creative solutions.

Computational Research Consultant, University of New Brunswick, Fredericton NB

Reporting to the Executive Director, Office of Research Services and to ACENET’s Chief Technology Officer, the Computational Research Consultant (RC) is responsible for providing supercomputing expertise primarily to the New Brunswick ACENET users within UNB and other NB institutions, as well as supporting the larger ACENET network in Atlantic Canada and nationally through Compute Canada.  The RC, working as part of a distributed team, serves the broad community of researchers across a wide range of disciplines. Requirements include a postgraduate doctoral degree from a recognized university, education/training in advanced research computing and five years of relevant experience.
